Claude Code v2.1.69 added voice dictation. /voice to toggle, hold Space to talk, release to transcribe. That’s it.

It’s input only — Claude still responds in text. Think of it as replacing your keyboard for the prompt, not turning Claude into Siri.

What’s nice: it actually knows coding words. Regex, OAuth, camelCase, async/await all come out right. It also picks up project names and git branch names from context. You can mix voice and typing freely — dictate a rough thought, then clean it up with the keyboard.

20 languages supported, Korean included. Space is rebindable if it conflicts with something (meta+k works).

The catch: you need claude.ai auth and a local mic. Doesn’t work over SSH or on remote servers.

Honestly though — open offices make this awkward. Talking to your terminal while people are around isn’t great. Best for home offices or solo setups.
