Oh My Claude Code was my first Claude Code setup. Statusline, Ralph loop, 30+ agents, orchestration out of the box. Genuinely useful when I was getting started.

Then I actually started learning how Claude Code works — how context works, what agents cost, how to keep things lean. And OMC started feeling heavy. Too many agents I hadn’t picked myself. Orchestration logic in my CLAUDE.md that I didn’t fully understand.

So I uninstalled it. Wrote my own statusline config, a simple loop script, a CLAUDE.md I could actually read.

OMC is a solid starting point. But once you know what you’re doing, you might want to own what’s running.
